New 2024 Kia Sportage Price, RedesignThe Kia Sportage shows no slowing down when it comes to battling parking lots and school pick-up zones. The Sportage isn’t falling behind the pack in the compact crossover SUV race because of last year’s Nightfall package, which is now available as a permanent trim level for this year’s model.
In the United States, Toyota’s RAV4 and Hyundai’s Tucson are stiff competition for the Kia Sportage. There are many problems with the Korean’s design, but thanks to innovative driving aids and one of the best-looking exteriors in the business, It’s difficult to find anything wrong with the 2024 model’s powertrain options, including a 2.4-liter engine with 181 horsepower or a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 240 horsepower.

Many think the 2024 Kia Sportage’s exterior design is quirky and sporty, while others find it repulsive. Even in our eyes, the Sportage stands out from the crowd because of its unusual rectangular shape and unconventional design. There have been several aesthetic changes made by Kia to the 2024 Sportage to give it a more solemn and mature aspect.

Outside, Kia has swapped chrome for matte and gloss black panels, making this the first time they’ve ever done so. The Kia tiger-nose grille and the fanning out of the projector LED headlights to create a muscular front fascia. The Sportage has a skid plate on the front of the car, giving it a more SUV-like look. It does not, despite its 6.4-inch ground clearance.

Interior

The cabin of the 2024 Kia Sportage is virtually identical to that of the outgoing generation. As a result, the interior design has been kept to a minimum. We’re particularly enthused about the Kia because of the high-quality materials. This vehicle’s plastics and other components are higher quality than those found in similarly priced automobiles. The fit and finish are great, and there is no shake or vibration in the car. The 2024 Sportage has enough room for four adults and a child, but five people will have to squeeze in. It’s possible to sit comfortably in both rows of seats. The front seats are pleasant to sit on, although they severely lack support. You can obtain a good look at the rest of the globe from the headquarters. All of the seats in the back are the same as those in the front. The Nightfall and EX grades come with fake leather seats. Genuine leather is only available on the SX Turbo.

In the Sportage’s second row of seats, there are 30.7 cubic feet of cargo capacity. Due to the 60/40 split, you’ll have 60.1 cubic feet of cargo space available when the second seat is folded flat. However impressive Kia’s figures may appear to be, its competitors provide significantly greater cargo capacity. It has an 8-inch touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard in the 2024 Sportage. The infotainment system’s haptic buttons make it easy to use. For Sportage, a 6-speaker audio system with Harman and Kardon premium surround sound comes standard.

Engine

The 2024 Kia Sportage has two engine choices. First up is a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder producing 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, which is standard on all but the SX Turbo. Its engine is adequate in terms of performance. There is a noticeable lack of low-down torque when shifting gears due to the large engine size. As soon as the driver wants to go faster, the six-speed automatic gearbox shifts into a lower gear and speeds up the engine.

It’s excellent for commuting inside the city limits, but it’s not quite up to snuff when it comes to large stretches of highway. The turbocharged 2.0-liter engine in the SX Turbo produces 240 horsepower with peak torque between 1,450 and 3,500 rpm on AWD models. This engine’s primary goal is to deliver as much torque as feasible while maintaining a manageable weight. We can’t do anything about it, though. Both engines are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission, but the shifter is a little more agitated while using the less powerful engine.
