Kia Soul EX 2024 Redesign, Exterior, Colors – This year’s Kia Soul has a few new features. In addition to the new logo and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, starting with the S trim, the car will now include an 8-inch touchscreen for the base LX model. If you want even more driver help features, you can get the new Technology package for the LX model. A few formerly optional items on the S, GT-Line, and X-Line editions are now included in the base model.
Two engines are available for the Soul: a 147-hp inline-4 with a turbocharger and a 201-hp turbo-4 with a turbocharger. The manual transmission has been phased out, which is a shame. Comfortable, well-equipped, and well-equipped, the Soul’s interior is crammed with the newest technology. The Hyundai Kona, the Honda HR-V, the Subaru Crosstrek, and a slew of other compact crossovers fight against the Soul.
Redesign of the Kia Soul for the year 2024
The 2024 Kia Soul will be available in various configurations with six trim levels. The Soul is a cutting-edge vehicle with sleek headlights and a sleek body in gloss black. A city car resembling a Decepticon may be seen lurking in the shadows. Only the GT-Line, EX, and Turbo have a motorized sunroof, while the apex trim has LED headlights. For the base model, you get 16-inch steel wheels; for the S, you get alloys; for the EX, you get alloys; and for the GT-Line, X-Line, and Turbo trims, you get 18-inch wheels. The Turbo model also has a unique center-exit exhaust, LED headlights, and fog lights.
Inferno Red, Snow White Pearl, Cherry Black, Mars Orange, Gravity Gray, and the new Steel Gray that replaces Sparkling Silver are available on the LX and S trims. Neptune Blue, Steel Gray, and Mars Orange are dropped from the GT-Line and Turbo variants. Two new duo-tone combinations are available for the X-Line: Neptune Blue with Cherry Black and Mars Orange with Cherry Black. The X-Line also has access to Undercover Green and Mars Orange with Cherry Black. Instead of Mars Orange, Undercover Green is used for the EX’s color scheme. In addition, the Platinum Gold and Clear White or Gravity Gray combinations from the previous year are gone. For the 2024 model year, Solar Yellow is no longer available as an option.
The interior of the little Kia is delightful and pretty impressive in terms of quality, making it another area where the Soul catches the hearts of many shoppers. You wouldn’t anticipate an interior of this grade, even at this price point, yet the Soul has decent materials and superior modern technology. Despite the boxy appearance, the interior is much more flowing and rounder than the outside would have you believe. Is it an opulent setting? But not quite. On the other hand, the Soul’s interior is better than some of its most popular rivals.
As previously indicated, the boxiness of the Kia Soul SUV was no doubt a deliberate effort by Kia to provide as much inside space as possible. As a result of this strategy, the Soul remains one of the segment’s roomiest vehicles—it’s significantly larger inside than the Hyundai Kona. According to measurements, headroom of 39.4 and 39.5 inches front to back (38.3 in front with sunroof) and legroom of 41.1 and 38.8 inches are enormous for the class. The seats in the front of the lower trims are comfy, but the Turbo model receives a little extra bolstering for a more sporting feel. Only the EX and the Turbo have power-adjustable seats with two-way lumbar support, while all other versions have four-way manual seats.
The Kia Soul is still available with two different engines. The Turbo variant features a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine with 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. 147 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque are available from the 2.0L inline-4 engine. Compared to other small crossovers, this engine is paired with a CVT transmission from Kia. The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is paired with this engine. The manual gearbox is being phased out in favor of an automatic transmission this year.
The engine and dual-clutch gearbox don’t synchronize effectively at low speeds or traffic lights, making the vehicle seem jerky to drive. This vehicle’s suspension provides a smooth ride over bumps in the road, yet it doesn’t feel overly soft. Although it isn’t the best in the business, the Soul’s steering has a good weight. As a result, it’s swift and responsive yet not excessive, which means it can handle a lot of edits. Despite its boxy shape, it doesn’t feel top-heavy when driving through turns, even though it is.
The Kia Soul 2024 Price and Release Date
The Soul’s low price is one of its most compelling features. Compared to the Kona’s entry-level SE model, the Soul is significantly less expensive. The Kia Soul LX starts at around $19,190 for the base model. The GT-Line is priced at $22,590, with the S starting at $21,490. Both the X-Line and EX versions of the Kia Soul are available, and the EX costs $23,490. The Turbo costs $27,790, which is a significant increase from the rest of the lineup, but it’s still a reasonable price point. The $1,175 destination fee is not included in any of these prices.
