All New 2024 Kia Forte Horsepower, Features, Release Date – The Kia Forte is a compact car that aspires to unseat segment leaders like the Honda Civic and Mazda 3 in the United States. That’s a tall order, but Kia has demonstrated that it can produce a capable and desirable sedan with models like the gorgeous K5 and entertaining Stinger, which are priced higher. Is the Forte able to capture the same enchantment at a lower price? Although this is debatable, the Forte brings a sleek look, many features, and excellent fuel efficiency. On the negative side, the base 2.0-liter engine is underpowered, and upgrading to the more powerful 201-horsepower turbocharged engine raises the price. The Kia Forte sedan, on the other hand, excels enough in most other areas to be shortlisted in a competitive sector.
The Kia Forte is an excellent little vehicle. It has a surprising amount of space in both the trunk and the back seats. The cabin is well-built, and the entertainment system is simple to use. The fuel efficiency ratings for this vehicle are likewise excellent. The standard engine is adequate, but the Forte GT’s performance-oriented powerplant is more capable. However, certain flaws exist, such as a shaky ride and a sloppy transmission.
All New 2024 Kia Forte Redesign
While not as remarkable as Kia’s new K5, the Forte is a well-designed sedan that is both unobtrusive and not too bland to put you to sleep. The base model comes with essential 15-inch steel wheels, but alloy wheels up to 18 inches become available as the model progresses. On higher trims, regular DRLs are replaced with LED DRLs, but all variants have auto-on/off headlights. Optional features include heated mirrors and a motorized sunroof. The sporty GT Line and GT are set apart by exterior parts that are gloss black and a decklid spoiler.
The Kia Forte and the Honda Civic are identical in length and width at 182.7 inches and 70.9 inches, respectively. The Forte, at 56.5 inches tall, is about an inch taller than its competition. The Kia has a wheelbase of 106.3 inches. Forte’s curb weight ranges from 2,707 pounds for the FE manual to 3,079 pounds for the GT with the dual-clutch transmission.
Interior
We were thrilled by the car’s simple interior design and high-quality, expensive materials. The base model includes all the essential features, but as you progress through the models, things become more enjoyable. Long road journeys in the Forte are possible since the back seat is spacious enough for two people to be comfortable. There are options for automatic climate control in two zones and heated and cooled front seats.
Given its availability, even the base model of the 2024 Forte is a bargain. The base model comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. In contrast, the GT-Line and GT models get a larger 10.3-inch display with in-dash navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio. All samples come with a secondary 4.2-inch color display, and you can get a wireless smartphone charging pad as an extra.
Engine
In this car, you have a choice of two engines. One is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 147 horsepower. It’s mated to a CVT (continuously variable transmission) (CVT). While this engine is adequate for commuting, its lackluster acceleration and sloppy CVT restrict its attractiveness. The top-of-the-line GT variant comes with a 201-horsepower, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and feels more lively.
The foundation The Kia Forte FE gets 31 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway, which are excellent results for a compact car. Other trims with the base engine earn 29 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the road, which is still decent mileage. Manual-transmission turbo-four vehicles achieve 22/31 mpg, while dual-clutch automatic models achieve 27/35 mpg.
