2025 Kia Sorento: A Refreshed SUV with New Features and Style – One of the most popular mid-size SUVs on the market, the Kia Sorento has a roomy interior, a smooth ride, and several energy-efficient engine choices. For 2025, Kia has updated the Sorento’s look to make it look better, more modern, and more expensive.
Design: Exterior and Interior
Outside, the 2025 Kia Sorento looks better than before, which makes it stand out. The new grille has more sharp edges and angles, making the SUV stand out more on the road. With LED running lights that curve around the edges, the new headlights have a fascinating look. The lower grille also looks different now that it has fog lights and bigger air vents.
Along with the changes to the front, the 2025 Sorento also gets some changes to the back. The headlights get new ones with a more complicated pattern and a horizontal bar that links them. A new fake skid plate on the rear lip makes the SUV look tougher. The 2025 Sorento also has new wheel styles that come in a range of sizes and colors.
New technology and materials have also been added to the inside of the 2025 Sorento. The new panoramic curved panel across the dashboard is the most apparent change. A 12.3-inch center screen for entertainment and a digital collection of gauges for driving information is built into the display. The screen has clear images, easy-to-use buttons, and settings that can be changed.
The panel of the 2025 Sorento is also different. It has thinner air vents and better materials. The middle panel has a stylish rotating shifter and buttons for running modes and controlling the temperature. The seats are supportive and comfy, and you can add leather padding and quilting. With up to seven seats and up to 75 cubic feet of trunk space, the 2025 Sorento has a lot of room for people and things.
There are different powertrain choices for the 2025 Kia Sorento so that it can meet the wants and tastes of many people. Three-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine with 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque is the base engine. The gearbox has eight speeds and can have front or all-wheel drive.
The next choice is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. It has either front or all-wheel drive and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gear.
There are also two hybrid versions of the 2025 Sorento: regular and plug-in hybrid. The traditional combination has a 1.6-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor to make 227 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The gearbox has six speeds, and the front wheels are driven.
The plug-in hybrid has the same engine and motor as the regular hybrid but has a bigger battery pack that lets it go up to 32 miles on electricity alone. There are 261 horsepower in all of them, and all-wheel drive is standard.
The 2025 Sorento’s gas mileage changes based on your engine type. For models with front-wheel drive, the base engine gets 24 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg all-around. For models with all-wheel drive, it gets 23 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the road, and 24 mpg all-around.
The turbocharged engine gets 22 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg overall for front-wheel drive models. It gets 21 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the road, and 24 mpg overall for all-wheel drive models.
The EPA says that the regular hybrid gets 39 mpg in the city, 35 mpg on the highway, and 37 mpg together for cars with front-wheel drive.
It gets TBD mpg in the city, TBD mpg on the highway, TBD mpg on the combined, TBD MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent), TBD kWh/100 miles, and TBD miles of range on electricity alone.
