2024 Kia Stinger GT1 Models, Engine

2024 Kia Stinger GT1 Models, Engine – The Kia Stinger is a four-door, rear-wheel-drive sports car with a curved shape that defies genres and stereotypes. It’s either a sedan or a hatchback, depending on whether you want luxury, sport, or grand touring. The Stinger gets a new nameplate for the 2018 model year, and while it’s a little bigger than traditional rivals like the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, it offers comparable power and a rear-or all-wheel-drive drivetrain. Because the Stinger and the front-drive Kia Optima are nearly identical in size on the outside, it’s the last element that distinguishes them.

The Kia Stinger is a fantastic car. You can choose between two excellent engine options: the standard engine’s 300 horsepower outperforms practically every base engine in the luxury small vehicle class. A twin-turbocharged V6 engine is even more potent. The Stinger has excellent marks for safety, has a comprehensive list of features, and is backed by a lengthy guarantee. Furthermore, the liftback body form allows for plenty of cargo space, and the infotainment system is up-to-date and easy to operate.

The Kia Stinger has always been a beautiful car, but the 2022 model looks even better thanks to restyled features like the headlights and a more aggressive rear end. The base Stinger comes standard with LED reflector headlights with high-beam assist and auto headlight management, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and 18-inch Vertex alloy wheels. The GT1’s mid-level equipment includes a power tilt/slide sunroof with electric shade, 19-inch Spire alloy wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport summer tires. The GT2 comes standard with auto-dimming outside mirrors, a motorized trunk lid, and bi-function projector-beam LED headlights with low beam assist. Only the GT2 edition of the Scorpion Special Edition will be available, and it will have bespoke 19-inch black wheels, blacked-out exterior features, and a unique color-keyed rear spoiler. The “Stinger” logo on the back and the new Kia badge on the front give the car a premium appearance.

The 4-door liftback Stinger is 190.2 inches long, shorter than the 2022 Dodge Charger but longer than the Genesis G70 by more than five inches. The Stinger is 73.6 inches wide overall and sits 55.1 inches off the ground. The wheelbase measures 114.4 inches in length. Despite the lack of official curb weight data, the base model weighed 3,611 pounds, and the largest model weighed 4,023 pounds last year. We expect more of the same in 2024.

Engine

The 2024 Kia Stinger’s base engine is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. The Stinger now has a competitive advantage over the 255-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine standard in the 2021 model. A rapid eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters adds engagement to the fast acceleration from a standstill and at higher speeds. According to several test drivers, this motor has a quick exhaust roar, but it can sound unrefined. According to Kia, the turbo-four base model can go from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds.

The twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine delivers 368 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque in the Stinger GT1 and GT2. A new-for-2022 active exhaust system gives these performance-oriented Kia Stinger GT cars greater power and a louder tone. According to Kia, the V6-powered Stinger goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 169 mph.

In 2024, the Kia Stinger will be priced and released.

With a starting price of $36,090, the revised 2024 Kia Stinger is one of the most affordable cars in its class. The Stinger GT1 has a starting price of $43,690, while the Stinger GT2 has $51,290.
