2024 Kia Soul Colors, Dimensions, PriceThis year’s updates to the Kia Soul’s features include a few new additions for 2024. New branding and an improved 10.25-inch touchscreen are standard on all trims above S, but the LX comes with an 8-inch touchscreen instead. Only a few previously optional comfort features, such as dual-zone automated climate control and wireless charging, are now standard on the S, GT-Line, and X-Line models. The new Technology package can be added to the LX model to give the driver even more help.

Starting at $19,190, the Soul has the same 147-hp inline-4 and 201-hp turbo-4 engines, still available for purchase. Manual transmissions have been phased out, sadly. The Soul’s cabin is roomy and well-equipped with the latest driver assistance technology. Compact crossovers like the Hyundai Kona, Honda HR-V, and Subaru Crosstrek are all competitors for the Soul and a slew of other vehicles.

2024 Kia Soul Redesign

The Soul is a sleek, futuristic-looking car skillfully coated in gloss black parts and thin headlamps. It’s hard to tell if the city car is a Decepticon or not, but it appears as it could be. The 2024 Kia Soul is available in six trim levels: LX, S, GT-Line, X-Line, EX, and Turbo (for the Turbo model). The top-of-the-line GT-Line, EX, and Turbo models get a power sunroof, while LED headlights are only available on the top trims. For the base model, you get 16-inch steel wheels; for the S, you get alloys; for the EX, you get alloys; and for the GT-Line, X-Line, and Turbo trims, you get 18-inch wheels. The Turbo model also has a unique center-exit exhaust, LED headlights, and fog lights.

The Soul competes against the Hyundai Kona in terms of size, yet it still has a strong presence despite its size. From nose to tailgate, the Kia is 165.2 inches long and stands at 63 inches tall, with a width of 70.9 inches. The wheelbase is 102.4 inches in length. A vehicle with a ground clearance of 6.7 inches is likely to be able to handle more challenging terrain regularly. The base Soul weighs 2,844 pounds, while the Turbo version weighs 3,036 pounds.

Interior

There’s no denying that many car buyers fall in love with the Soul’s interior, which is both entertaining and outstanding in terms of craftsmanship. You’d be hard-pressed to find an interior of this caliber for a car in this price range, yet the Soul manages to do just that. Despite the boxy appearance, the interior is much more flowing and rounder than the outside would have you believe. Is it abundant enough? Yes, but it’s not quite like that. But compared to the interiors of some of its main competitors, the Soul’s is stunning.

Previously, we noted that the Kia Soul SUV’s boxy shape was probably designed to maximize interior capacity. The strategy worked, and the Soul is currently one of the segment’s roomiest challengers, comfortably outstripping the Hyundai Kona’s inside volume. On the cheaper grades, the seats are comfy, but on the Turbo model, they’re bolstered for a more sporty feel. The EX and Turbo are the only versions to provide 10-way power-adjustable seats with two-way lumbar support. At the same time, other models come standard with a four-way manually-adjustable passenger seat. Compared to other vehicles in its class, the headroom of 39.4 and 39.5 inches (38.3 in front with the sunroof) and legroom of 41.1 and 38.8 inches are vast.

Engine

The Kia Soul is still available with a choice of two different powertrains. 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque are the output of the 2.0L inline-4 engine, which is the most important choice. Like most small crossovers, the Kia has a CVT transmission with this engine. The manual gearbox is being phased out in favor of an automatic transmission this year. The Turbo model has a 1.6L turbo inline-4, producing 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is paired with this engine.

The engine and dual-clutch gearbox don’t coordinate effectively at low speeds or traffic lights, making the vehicle seem jerky to drive. The suspension provides a smooth ride over irregularities on the road without making the car feel sluggish or sluggish. Although it isn’t the best in the business, the Soul’s steering has a good weight. Many corrections are made because it is fast and responsive without being overbearing. However, even if it’s a bit square, it doesn’t seem top-heavy when driving through turns.

2024 Kia Soul release date and price

The Soul’s affordability is one of its primary selling points. The Soul’s base price is lower than the Kona’s entry-level SE model, making it more affordable than the Kona. The Kia Soul LX starts at around $19,190 for the base model. It costs $21,490 to upgrade to the S and $22,590 to upgrade to the GT-Line. Both the X-Line and EX versions of the Kia Soul are available, and the EX costs $23,490. The Turbo costs $27,790, which is a significant increase from the rest of the lineup, but it’s still a reasonable price point. The $1,175 delivery fee is not included in any of these prices.
