2024 Kia K5 Models, Sedan, Price – First-year models of the 2024 Kia K5 midsize car will have the new Kia logo and new standard amenities. Although the K5’s exterior design is eye-catching, the car’s cost and standard features make it an enticing purchase. Kia’s family sedan, the 2024 K5, starts at $23,690, but the GT variant boasts a 290-horsepower engine. A 10.3-inch touchscreen and wireless device charging are added to the 2024 K5’s GT-Line and higher trims to keep the momentum rolling. Front and rear parking detectors are standard on GT and EX trims and motorized folding outside mirrors.
The 2024 Kia K5’s GT model piques intrigue with its array of high-tech features, plush interior materials, and superb guarantee. In its first year on the market, Kia sold over 30,000 units of the 2021 model, despite the 2024 K5 having a newer name in the midsize sedan class. Old choices like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry continue to dominate the market.
2024 Kia K5 Redesign
The Kia K5 is one of the best-looking midsize sedans, even though the segment isn’t known for drawing admiring glances. Because it’s taller and broader, it has a more aggressive posture than the Optima it replaces, but the Optima’s appeal rests in its more delicate features. For example, the entry-level LX sports LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a Hyper Silver front grille, while the GT’s 19-inch wheels and unique aesthetic cues shared with the GT-Line distinguish it from the GT. The larger tiger grille, dramatic LED DRLs, and the full-width illumination at the rear give the car an aggressive appearance. It comes with a panoramic sunroof and LED fog lamps on some models.
Gravity Gray and Ebony Black, two subtle tints of the Kia K5, make the midsize car stand out even though they’re not the most eye-catching hues. You may get the base LX in either Ebony Black, Passion Red Tintcoat, or Everlasting Silver for the exterior paint job. Any color other than Glacial White Pearl can only be matched with a higher-priced trim. Crystal Beige or Gravity Gray is available on the LXS, while Wolf Gray or Sapphire Blue is available on the GT-Line. If Kia had not restricted particular colors to specific palettes, more options would have been available overall.
The Kia K5 of 2024 builds on the success of the Kia Optima by offering a refined interior with plenty of legroom and storage space. High-quality materials like wood trim on the dashboard and doors contribute to the charm. Like the Stinger and K900, this model has a glossy black plastic finish and a horizontal design. There is a lot of awareness of detail in the construction, with high-quality materials.
Also included in the K5’s luxury interior features are ambient lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. Above the dashboard’s unusual horizontal vents, a floating infotainment display hovers. The climate controls are conveniently located underneath the vents. An updated steering wheel is also included in the K5 package.
The K5’s 1.6-liter turbocharged engine is quieter and more responsive than the Optima’s normally aspirated base engine, replaced by a more peaceful, responsive 1.6-liter turbo engine. The engine’s 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque are standard on most models. With an eight-speed automatic transmission, it’s the perfect combination. With 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, the GT outperforms the Honda Accord’s most potent engine. The new eight-speed “wet” dual-clutch transmission that Kia developed in-house enhances the athletic aspect of this car. Is it capable of swift and smooth transitions?
We lived able to get our hands on the GT model until later this year, but we could get our hands on two varieties of the 1.6-liter base engine. This is hardly a powerful engine, but it is on par with entry-level models from Honda, Nissan, and Toyota. The K5’s eight-speed transmission sets it apart. Compared to a CVT, the new ‘box shifts more smoothly and rapidly. Although the K5 doesn’t come standard with a manual transmission, the eight-speed automatic offered by Kia is more fun to drive than the CVTs found in its competition.
